Inclement Weather

Adult Education classes are canceled when New Britain Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. 

Watch the following stations for announcements:  WFSB (3), WTNH (8), WTIC (61), WVIT (30), and Facebook (New Britain Adult Education). 

School Cancellation or Delay

When the New Britain School District has a delayed opening Adult Education classes will start at the following times: 

• YWCA: classes are canceled and will be made up (19 Franklin Square, New Britain)

• Smalley School: classes are canceled and will be made up (175 West St, New Britain)

• Trinity-on-Main (Annex Building): classes are canceled and will be made up (19 Chestnut Street, New Britain)

• Center of Excellence: classes are canceled and will be made up (57 Fern Street, New Britain)

• Evening classes at New Britain High School will begin at their usual time (110 Mill Street, New Britain)

Evening Classes at New Britain High School

• If there is a weather-related early dismissal and the school district cancels all after-school activities then the evening classes will be canceled. 

• If there is a weather-related early dismissal but the school district does not cancel after-school activities then a decision will be made by the Principal on Assignment in  Adult Education in consultation with the Deputy Superintendent if evening classes will be canceled.
